"It will be the fourth season, when "ORDO GROUP" acts as the general sponsor and long-term strategic partner of "Valmiera basketball club". "ORDO GROUP" has given us financial stability, the ability to create a competitive team and develop a training system for young players. As a result, the agreement on cooperation between "ORDO GROUP", the City Council of Valmiera and Valmiera children's sports school was concluded. Significant funds have been invested in this system in order to ensure the young players the best coaches and living conditions. Based on the existing successful collaboration with "ORDO GROUP", we decided to go ahead and have made a decision about a united team name "Valmiera/ORDO" – Janis Silins, Director of Club Development tells about cooperation with "ORDO GROUP". According to Mārtiņš Bērziņš, a significant benefit for the club and the team "Valmiera/ORDO" was the attraction of Ainars Zvirgzdiņš as a head coach. Ainars Zvirgzdins told us about preparation of the team for the new season: "At present we are still in transitional phase, as from the previous line-up there are only four players, so the team actually needs to create from scratch. There are some difficulties, but I believe that through joint efforts and professional attitude of the players we will be worthy opponents for everyone already in the first matches of the season!"

"We want to get back in the fight for medals in the Latvian Basketball League and won’t give way to anyone, while the minimum goal in the Baltic Basketball League, if the format remains the same, is to take a place in the top eight" –Martins Berzins, General manager of “BK Valmiera informed on team’s aims for next season.
