See perspective and a good return from developing student housing in Latvia

15 November 2016  ·  Ordo Agency
Experience of the NCH - investor and project developer, implementing student housing projects abroad, where this segment has been developing very rapidly, suggests that in Latvia (in the first place - in Riga) projects of student accommodation - small, cheap ( area of 13-25 m²) can be a very perspective investment, reaching 8-12% profit.

«This has variety of reasons. Firstly, 19% of all students in England – are students from abroad and this percent is growing. Local English students also use student housing, but foreigners make the biggest contribution. This dictates the quality of projects: apartments must meet the level of 3 and 4 star hotels, with a modern styling and qualitative furnishing and layout.  Parents of foreign students play a vital role in choosing a university and housing and they are willing to pay more for comfort and safety of their children, » tells the author of this article K. Cerbulis, head of Nordic House

One more solution for this segment growth is that in England is not enough free accommodation, so student housing solves the problem of accommodation.

« For Latvia the first factor will be relevant: foreign students in Latvia are growing. In Latvia there are no qualitative and economic student housing, that is why this projects will be very perspective, » thinks K. Cerbulis
